Lessons from Canadian Businesses | Anne Mulaire

“If you are able to adapt – you got it!”
-Andréanne Mulaire

Anne Mulaire is Andréanne Mulaire Dandeneau, but you can call her Anne.

Anne Mulaire is an inspired award-winning Canadian fashion designer of French Métis descent with a desire to empower the women who wear her clothing. A business guided by strong ethics, the Anne Mulaire label is an expression of heritage, beauty, comfort, and pride. The company is committed to fair trade, environmental stewardship, and ethical business practices.

Anne believes in finding the good in each situation. When she had to close her doors due to the pandemic, it was very hard, at first, because everything was so uncertain. Keeping an open mind, and being aware of opportunities, enabled her to pivot and use materials she had on hand to make masks. After 50 samples, she had created a design that not only worked, but the sales from the masks saved her company at the same time. She reminds us there will always be challenges, but within those challenges lie opportunities.
